![]() Topic: Quick PSU question...Posted: 26 Jun 2010 at 7:54pm |

Okay, the rig I'm currently building in my head will run an i7 980x, with a single gtx480 and no overclocking. Will a 1000w PSU run this stable and allow for a future SLi, should I go that route?
If not, will it at least allow me to run stable with the single gtx480? I know the 480's power draw is pretty huge, and the 980x is no slouch either, so I'm just curious if anyone who can crunch the numbers can give me an answer. Thanks in advance :D |

1000 wattage is usually fine but if you're going to push the system's lmitation it may be recommended for higher. The main thing I check first is if the model you're looking at has enough connection for your future expansions. If you're not sure, I would advise you to speak with our sales department for parts details and configuration. 800/707-0393 |
